Coordinator Membership Information
Application Process
- Prospective member will contact membership chair by email at membership@awec.org.
- Membership chair will invite prospective member to the following “open” coordinator meeting and inform the vice president of the addition (needs to be added to the evite and rsvp must be received by due date. Prospective members are invited to attend two meetings as a non-member and they will pay non-member fees at these meetings. Members who do not show at a meeting they rsvp’d to will be charged the meeting fee. RSVP cancellation must be done 3 business days prior to the meeting to not have a meeting fee assessed.
- Prospective members will attend meeting and introduce themselves to AWEC members.
- If interested, membership chair will invite prospective member to next open meeting. Membership application may be mailed to prospective member before this meeting or given to them at this meeting.
- Once a perspective member turns in a completed application and annual membership dues, membership chair will review application, checking random references as needed, and present application to Board of Directors for approval. The completed application needs to be mailed to the membership director:

- Board of Directors will approve or deny membership and prospective member will be notified by membership chair. The annual dues check will not be processed until membership is granted.
- After membership has been accepted, prospective member will be required to sign the AWEC code of ethics. A copy will stay with the AWEC membership director and the prospective member will received a notarized copy for their office.

- If any vendor member wishes to participate in any AWEC sponsored award programs, the application needs to be received in the membership chairs office by August 15. All awards will be given at the January meeting.
- The completed coordinator application must include the following for full membership: application, copies of any licenses or certifications, current business card, copy of DBA, and all references.
- A business may add a secondary membership at any time in the membership year. The membership fee is not pro rated.
